Whether you are involved heavily in a presentation or a low key player it is important to know the basic preparation steps you can take to ensure your presentation is enjoyable and understandable. Knowing what to do can mean a huge success for                           you and our team. Here are a few tips for making your next presentation a hit!

1. Have one equipment set. Make sure it hold all of the things you will need and that you are sure to put EVERYTHING back in it when you are done. This will make sure that at your next global or local trade show you will have everything you need there. I know it is hard to anticipate all the things you need but that is why you need to start planning as soon as you have a show date.

2. Back Up Plan! It may sound pessimistic but plan on things going wrong. While you are busy making one specific plan you should always at the same time PLAN FOR CHANGE. Things happen at the last minute and this should not mean your shows success or failure. Plan for things to get screwed up, that way when they do you do not look like a deer in headlights.

3. Practice makes perfect. Once you have your plan and back up plans in order, do yourself a favor and rehearse them. If you have a speech, go over it by yourself in front of the mirror and among your peers. If you have more than one speaker make sure you all rehearse and practice together. Do not just practice your plan A, practice your other plan too.

4. Take notes. If you cant then appoint someone to do it for you. Make sure the notes are clear and to the point. Go over them with your team and ask for others input. Outside opinions before your presentation will help you make a presentation that appeals to every personality.

There are tons of other ways you can prepare for a trade show presentation but these are just a few tips to get you started.
